Nana's Hash Brown Potatoes

1 20 ozs. package shredded hash browns, partially thawed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 pint sour cream
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cups cornflake crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter

Mix first 7 ingredients and spread into a 13x9 pan. Combine the cornflake crums and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, uncovered.
